Russia-Ukraine: Zelenskyy says “war will end sooner” under Trump presidency
During a radio interview in Kyiv that aired on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine must do all it can to ensure the war with Russia ends next year through diplomatic means. His comments come at a decisive moment after U.S. president-elect Donald Trump's electoral victory and Russia's grinding battlefield gains. Zelenskyy said it was likely "the war will end sooner" with the policies of the incoming administration under Trump, who said often during his campaign that he would rapidly end the conflict, without giving specifics. Zelenskyy added he had a "really good meeting" with Trump back in September, and that the Ukrainian leader "will only take seriously" a conversation with the president of U.S. “It is not a TV drama. It is a serious story. In order to stop the Russian army, new reserves — kitted out with the equipment we have been waiting for so long — will now arrive," Zelenskyy said. "On some directions, the (Russian) advanced has already been stopped.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/10873215/volodymyr-zelenskyy-ukraine-war-1000-days/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc
