Jasper wildfire: Over 600 families still waiting for interim housing
Jason Nixon, Alberta's minister of seniors, community and social services, said in a statement Friday that the province had committed $112 million and was on track to begin delivery of 250 interim single-family homes early in 2025. However, the necessary land Parks Canada committed to has not been made available, Nixon added. Premier Danielle Smith said their inaction was "leaving the people of Jasper behind."
