BC raccoon revived with animal ‘Narcan’ after suspected fentanyl poisoning
Ashley Bennett is used to seeing raccoons in her Maple Ridge, B.C., yard, but a recent incident has left her shaken, after it appears a family of the fuzzy creatures may have overdosed on fentanyl. Bennett had just returned home last week when she found a mother and a baby raccoon unconscious, with one of the babies sleeping on the furniture. As Kristen Robinson reports, one of the raccoons needed to be rushed to the vet and revived with the animal equivalent of Narcan.
